Founded in 1991 with a visionary gift
from Art and Betty Kellar, Inova Kellar
Center provides a full continuum of
out-patient mental health and substance use disorder treatment services and
special education programs for children, adolescents, adults and families. The
Center provides structured day and evening treatment programs, outpatient
services, educational and special education programs. Patients and families
work together to develop skills to cope with the challenging mental health
issues facing many children today.
The Kellar School of Inova Kellar Center educates special education students
from varied backgrounds who have emotional, learning or behavioral issues
that signifi cantly interfere with their ability to learn. Students are referred to
and placed in The Kellar School by local school systems. The Kellar School
accepts students from seven school systems in the Northern Virginia area, as
well as the District of Columbia.
In 2006, Cardinal Bank completed the million dollar campaign to fund the
Cardinal Gym at Inova Kellar Center. This outstanding accomplishment
completed the fi ve year pledge in only four years thanks to the dedication
and commitment of Cardinal Bank leadership and the diligent efforts of the
employees. This year’s contribution from the Cardinal Classic will assist Inova
Kellar Center in meeting the goals for the annual fundraising necessary to
provide treatment to children and families regardless of an ability to pay for
services. The annual fund provides thousands of treatment sessions to members
within our community who have limited or no resources. This is an invaluable
service to our community and your participation in the Cardinal Classic will
assist the Center in meeting this goal.
