Cardinal Bank's deep commitment to giving back to the communities we serve is a fundamental part of who we are as an organization. We are proud of our long-standing dedication to helping support organizations, programs, and initiatives that strengthen families, neighborhoods and communities. Cardinal's commitment includes philanthropy, civic leadership, community involvement and volunteer-support and is demonstrated throughout communities and neighborhoods across the Cardinal franchise where we do business.
Cardinal Bank marked a milestone in 2008 with the creation of the Cardinal Bank Community Fund at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. Launched with start-up funding from Cardinal’s signature event, the Cardinal Bank Charity Classic, the Fund supports a diversity of community needs in the focused areas of children and families, arts and humanities, health and wellness, and education. To date, the Fund has awarded over $100,000 in grants to more than 25, community-enriching organizations that our families, friends and neighbors have come to depend on. If you take a moment to look beyond the dollars given to these worthy organizations across the greater Washington region, you’ll find hundreds of children and families who have been housed, nourished, counseled, educated, treated, and provided with health and wellness services. All of these efforts advance Cardinal Bank in fulfilling its philanthropic mission of helping to build healthy, vibrant and sustainable communities and neighborhoods where we live, work, and raise our families.
